But it is also true that vacation daily value, training daily value, min day also come with a cost.
IMO the first and foremost job of the experts at ALPA E&FA is to cost our concessions since 9/11.
I believe these concessions to total over $16 BILLION and this number climbs each and every day our concessions are still in place. I.e. our defined benefit pension. This number alone is in the billions, as is our hourly rates which need 18% just to hit the 11 year old Delta hourly rates with no accounting for inflation.
It is only after ALPA E&FA gives us this number that we can truely begin to have a perspective on a truly historic C2015.
If I were management, I would love to gloss over the billions in Delta pilot concessions and negotiate with a clean slate. I would love to forget that the Delta pilots still work under a concessionary PWA. I would love to forget the Delta pilots contributed Billions more than any other party and are the major reason for the success Delta enjoys today.
Let's ensure we educate all parties of our contribution. Let's ensure we are rewarded for our sacrifices.

rah rah sis boom bah.
Show us where you came up with $16 billion.
I will give you credit though, you admit that everything has a cost. That is the most realistic thing you have said. (Standing by for the inevitable "managing expectations" crowd.)
