We really don't have an average four day trip. Generally trips are not very productive, although the company is totally redoing the entire flight schedule for the summer and they claim the schedules will get better. I could expand more on that later...
For May the average line is 80 hours credit and 15.5 days off. 16 days off average in Chicago. Chicago has lots of day turns and a mix of 3,4 and 5 day trips. Denver has a mix of trips, but very few 5 day trips.
Denver currently has a little over 300 crews, Chicago has about 70 crews and I expect it to go a little more.
Our trip rig says we get one hour of credit for every 3.75 hours away from home. the minimum pay for a 4 day is about 20 hours. Honestly, a fair amount of trips are so inefficient that the trip rig sets the pay for the trip. The only plus side to that is that a lot of trips are easy, not like sw guys flying 5 legs everyday.
