Our Trip Rig---3.75:1---does not apply to "pilot modified pairings." There's a list of things in our contract that constitute "pilot modified." In addition to these listed items, the Company has taken an expansive interpretation and now almost any modification for any reason is treated as a pilot modification.

To keep things simple (sarcasm alert) crew scheduling removes trip rig from ALL modified pairings. Our payroll person is supposed to correct the pairings as appropriate and apply trip rig when she processes the payroll. This part of the plan almost never happens.

This little technique is one of the many revenue-enhancing procedures enacted by the Company over the most recent 18 to 24 months.
