I'll put it to you this way. When the crap hits the fan, I'd rather be working for Keith Stamper than Ryan "Last guy to turn the lights off" Gumm any day. I work with lots of ex Comair folks who have nothing good to say about Mr. Gumm. What is past is prologue. The only reason Delta is interested in keeping Endeavor staffed right now is to force rate resets. If they are successful then they don't need Endeavor any more and the past history of this management team is to dump a regional once they don't need it any more. If you don't think Delta is perfectly capable of leading Endeavor pilots on only to dump them in the end, then you are a fool. They have done it before. If you don't think Gumm isn't capable of the same thing then, once again you are a fool because he has done it before. Stamper had a solid reputation at Comair, and he has one at Trans States. I wouldn't trust Ryan Gumm or Delta management as far as I can throw them. I trust Keith Stamper because he has earned it. Holdings management is different, but Stamper has done nothing but back up what he says.
The game starts for real when the first Gojet 900 hits the ramp in June. We'll see if Skywest caves on the rate resets. Once that gets decided, however it works out then you will really see what Delta's intentions are with Endeavor.
Good luck trusting in Delta management, you are going to need it.
