For the future, if a flight is full, is it worth listing online? It just seems to make us a non-rev. If we jumpseat it seems like there is a paper form we have to fill out any way. What do you prefer? Do both methods? (I only ask because at some airlines, it's frowned to end up listing on a flight as both a non-rev and a jumpseater).
This is the way I see it:
DO list online for jumpseat, anytime the jumpseat is already listed for your listing will default to non-rev just because the system won't allow more bodies than seats, also I think you can check in online, this way it is easier for the gate agent to get your details. When you get to the gate DO ask for and fill out the JS form and have them CASS you, the pilots are "encouraged" to make sure every JS-er has the form regardless of cabin or cockpit seat assignment. We are encouraged to check to make sure we leave no-one behind, if you have an issue try to get our attention.
There is NO issue with being nonrev and JS at Spirit, it is the way it "works".
Let me know if this isn't correct!
