Honestly, it is better to start in the 200 if anything. It is a harder airplane (less automated) and you have a lot more time during initial to cover everything.

Here is a good rumor with absolutely no basis whatsoever. The only reason that we are starting a 700 initial program is that we are sending all of the 200's to Air Wisconsin and picking up more 900's (the rest of the options). Other than that, there is no real reason to start initial training in the 700's. It certainly isn't to speed up the sims, because we have many more 200 sims than 700 sims.
I wouldn't rule anything out at this point. That being said I just think it gives them more flexibility. It makes total sense to alternate 200/700.
