Just so we're all clear. When the company decides to do away with providing cabin seats for DH, and wants us to use the jumpseat for it, using the excuse, "Well, you guys routinely give up a contractual benefit to sit in the jumpseat anyway, let's just remove it from the contract." That's not a concession, is it?
I mean, we routinely vilified guys for greenslipping with fourloughees still out, even though it was allowed by the contract, but we turn a blind eye to contract violations by pilots? What next? Suppose guys started picking and choosing which sections of the contract to follow or not. Xray said the contract protects us from management. It also protects us from ourselves.
Y'all choose to do what you want. I will continue to refuse the agent's requests to sit on a jumpseat when I DH. And please don't come asking me to do it. You are asking me to violate the contract and I refuse to do so.
