ALPA operates with one goal in mind - To protect the pilot group. Sometimes that might not be apparent to all the pilots but you can be darn sure that the decision was not made by one ALPA rep. It was debated by the MEC and the decision was made. I can't say that I have agreed with ALPA all the time but one thing I do know is that they are looking after OUR best interest. Howard operates by the marching orders and talking points given to him by management.
You missed the point. The point was that yes the LOA paid more and was a win for the pilots verse the MOU and current book. Zero downside. Also, LOA or no LOA it does not speed up the broken IT, arbitrated decisions, or scheduler training.
