Not much was said except a few gems about LUAL being lucky to still being in business. Now that there is some shifting in a LCAL base its a travesty and unjustified. This reeks of self centeredness. The pain that each of the LUAL pilots displaced from their domicile was just as great as it's going to be for the LCAL pilots out of IAH. I personally wouldn't wish it for anyone, and definitely hope that folks in IAH find a soft landing
That and the opening of "CAL" equipment nearly 2 years after the merger announcement where UAL guys couldn't bid it created a seniority situation where a chunk of UAL guys can't get back into their domiciles while being nearly 4000 numbers junior to the CAL pilots that took those slots when only avail to CAL pilots. I'm 4500. I'd love to drive to work, have had a DEN bid in for 5+ years, yet I commute while others nearly 4000 numbers junior to me drive to work. Just sayin - this hasn't been roses for anyone that I know on the UAL side. For Ben to act as if the company is somehow favoring the LUAL side of the ship is comical at best. It just happens that it finally affected him - Ben that is. Oh, boo freaking hoo.
