Fishforfun, xjt I think is in more long term trouble than Envoy is. Just my personal opinion. They have been a financial weight around skywest's neck since they bought them. Skywest was one of the only airlines to lose money last year. Envoy at least has a flow, large aircraft coming, and a parent owned company with deep pockets. Xjt has no flow, no large aircraft coming, and with them being owned by another regional I think xjt could just as easily be shut down in the future. Both envoy and xjt have the worst upgrade times in the industry, both have longevity problems with lots of maxed out captains, and both fly old tired 145s with Xjt doing some 200 flying in DFW. I almost went there in 2011 but in the end I would still be stuck in the right seat had I gone there.
