Delta extended the 145 for five more years with Republic so the plane will be around until at least 2021. Delta also agreed to raise the productivity from avg day credit of 4 hrs and 15 min to 5hrs and 20 min. I'll believe all this when I actually see it. Resulting in more efficient trips the second highest in the company. If you want to be LGA or JFK based I suggest the 145 since that's the plane no one wants to go to and no one wants to be based in NYC that flies the 145.
Has there been a press release about this extended flying? If so, where? I haven't seen anything and until I do, it's a rumor.
And you're wrong about the 145 training: as long as certain blue bloods remain in the program, the training will always have the "old-school" CHQ mentality, AQP makes little difference.
