Southwest hiring info
The invites will continue. Classes are starting in September and going until they are done. I got an initial invite in the March/April hiring round last year and chose the last day possible based on my availability. I made the second class (they go in order of interview, also how employee numbers are assigned).
I am not good at math, but that means out of three weeks of interviews, they had enough hires to staff two classes of 24. I don't know what that boils down to in percentages, but I do know that 5/6 in my interview group were hired. I was probably the least experienced and close to the least qualified.
They told us pre interview that they weren't looking to fill any quotas. They could hire all of us or none of us. I truly believe that once you make it to the interview it is yours to lose. Interview prep, while not a must have, will help immensely. I am sure some guys can go in there and kill it without prepping. I am not one of those guys and not afraid to admit it.
