I know one gentlemen who left as a 3 year FO on the wide body to go to a regional in the US. He had no qualms at all about doing it to leave EK. I just received a whatsapp from him 4-5 weeks ago that he'd been hired at UAL, after having been with the regional for about 3-4 months.
Some guys just want out no matter what… I also know two pilots personally, and have heard of one other EK pilot whom I don't know, who've resigned with no job to go to!
Sadly, these are facts at EK these days….

Makes sense if you have some heavy intl experience under your belt and can afford to take the hit for a while in hopes of getting on a U.S. a major. I know you have been vocal in regards to EK, but isn't there some good things to be had there still? Possibly a younger FO looking to get international travel out of their system, travel the world and make some money? I have a few friends there and they all enjoy it very much still, but they have been there less than 5 years and I know anything can get old after a while.
