In my opinion the pay at Frontier will have to be addressed before the next contract if they want to keep attracting people. The pay cut from a regional captain to Frontier FO is pretty drastic.
Unfortunately, airlines can get away with almost anything (low pay) when in growth mode and offering hopes of a quick upgrade.
Until I see attrition jump significantly, or until I see them consistently hiring 11 out of 12 interviewees, I'm not thinking they're having trouble finding quality candidates.
They will only raise pay when they are absolutely forced to under section 6 negotiations, after dragging it out as long as functionally possible. Hopefully the economy is good in those days!
Oh, and hopefully we don't trade work-rules for shiny rates.
