Article 8 (Section 8?) proceedings to remove from office against Jim Ackerman (the new MEC Chairmen) for attempting to have Doug Poletti disciplined by taking the private conversations between him and a Doug to Spirit HR and the Chief Pilot's office (Chris Russing). How can we trust this guy who turned a pilot over to management?
Anything that stuffs DP back under the rock he came from is a net plus for the pilot group. Do you have any idea how many pilots have been DP'd over the years? The system worked, he had his day in court so to speak as it looks like that motion failed.

I guess we know now why he would rather have 300 phone calls instead of sending out 1 email.

They needed to cut out the cancer now, it already spread to the NC. If I wanted the NC's opinion on MEC governance, I'd elect them as status reps. Beside that, why would you want to stay in a job where 2/3 of your bosses don't want you there? Think about that one.

At what company does the management consult the employees on replacing upper management positions?

Party line? Both of the 77 status reps were former MEC darlings when they were elected.

They were recalled over not running meetings the right way and hurt feelings. The best interests of the pilot group were not considered.
Widespread belief that this will damage the negotiating committee in their effort to get us a contract. Bendo dancing a jig.
It appears that all of the pilots they had lined up to take the vice-chairmen and secretary-treasurer positions have declined the offer.
Didn't go on Wednesday.
