Nobody got whacked and there was no coup. The reps for LEC 77 and LEC 109 did what they were elected to do. They represent the interests of their constituents and the majority were asking for change in leadership and direction. They were placed at the helm for that exact purpose. Spirit is no longer the 35 airplane airline with no growth or future. We've more than doubled in size with majority of the pilots being from the post-strike era. Most "new blood" came from ALPA carriers and know the dynamics. This was all a question of time. The old Spirit is history. Welcome to the NEW Spirit. Now lets see if the "old guard" will accept this change as gentlemen and help unify the group or will we see nasty rhetoric as some here have already witnessed, including that of one of DTW's status reps and also the P2P chairman.
