You're better off banging your head against a brick wall. I've been trying to drive the point home that the MEC chair/vice chair are only administrative positions for years on here, yet people still think the chair sets policy.
As a side note, is JA resigning as status rep, or doing both jobs? If he is trying to do both, that will nullify some of the strategy behind the MEC structure. The vice/chair positions are supposed to be the buffer between the decision makers (status reps) and management.
