That must reflect more on the 80 side of things. The Airbus doesn't have many MEL or MX issues.
Obviously you haven't been flying in the same Airbus that I have. There's one in particular that had the same MEL on and off and on again for several months. Of course, maintenance "fixed it" all the time, but somehow the same exact thing broke on the very next flight. Curious.....
