This may be a stupid question, but what does everyone do about their Facebook account during the application process? We all have those drunk pictures from college buried deep in our history or politically charged comments in regards to the "excellent" decision making ability of our current commander in chief, however, I wonder how deep large companies will look and what kind of access they have beyond what your privacy settings protect? You seem to see a lot of people changing their last name on Facebook these days in an apparent attempt to protect their privacy, but what are everyone's thoughts on here?
I sent you a PM for specifics. One thing I wanted to add for the public consumption: I flew with a captain who told me he got a call from a CP for stuff his wife posted on FB. I do not know if there are separate divisions that look into social media for established employees vs applicants, but at some level the company is looking at both you and your spouse.
