Yeah, the worst thing you can do is study non-company materials before class. Everyone has there own little way of doing things and if you memorize one set of numbers and they turn out to be different, you're at a huge disadvantage by your own doing.

Best thing you can do (if you really want to do something) while waiting is to keep your flying skills sharp, eat right, exercise and get plenty of rest... you'll need it come training.
