I'm holding a composite line in BOS in Jul, worth about 95 hours. I've been on line since Feb. Chances are fair to good that I'll hold a hard line in August. Lots of new guys coming aboard, about 30 junior to me in BOS now, including guys in the schoolhouse.
This month I'm sitting regular reserve, and have flown about 30 hours. The guy just junior to me has logged about 85. I proffer(bid) lots of RAPs to stay home, he goes for all the flying he can get. I've been stuck doing ready reserve 1100-1900 for about the last week, and have been getting about one leg of flying and a deadhead back almost every day.
Being able to proffer for trips makes reserve at Eagle very tolerable. The biggest caveat is you can get stuck with an airport reserve line for the month. Obviously, it usually goes to the 3 most junior pilots in domicile, so at least you won't have to do it more than once if you don't want to.

Bottom line, Eagle is not a bad place to be at all. Life on reserve isn't bad. Time on reserve is short. Schedules are decent. Equipment is good. Crews are good. Pay is ok. Upgrade times are coming down to a resonable level. And once AA & APA get thier contract hammered out (in a year or two, or so) there will probably even be growth.
