Of course I mean where there is not someone on the jumpseat.
And if you think that the passengers do not actually want to get to their destination, you are missing something. Most people that are flying actually want to get somewhere. It is not the passengers fault that our company sucks and books 52 people on an airplane that only holds 50, or books 50, and then bumps a paying passenger off to accommodate a "must fly" crew member.
Some people need to get to where they are going in a timely fashion. I choose to help occasionally, when I can. If you do not want to, that is your choice. If it can be done without kicking someone off of the jump seat, I will consider it.
There are people that make this world a better place, and people who make this world a worse place. Pick which one you want to be on a given day and go with it.
