The cost would be much higher I would expect and also everyone would be put on positive space tickets to come to the interview, eating into revenue. The conferences and the M&G are a way of thinning the heard of thousands with very similar qualifications on paper. As I have been saying the company sees who wants it the most by who shows up and how they represent themselves. It makes sense in today's hiring when you have 10,000 applications.
