Today, Airline Division Director Captain David Bourne called upon all members of the Teamsters Airline Division to show support for the pilots of Sun Country Airlines. “Sun Country; like some of our carriers, have been involved in a protracted contract negotiation with their management, now for more than five years. They are the lowest paid Boeing 737 pilots flying under FAR Part 121 at 30% below industry average.

No different than our member carriers that we fight for every day, Sun Country pilots; while not Teamsters, are fellow trade unionists and we support them 100% in their fight for a just and fair contract wth industry standard wages for the equipment they fly and the professionalism they exhibit,” Bourne said.

“I urge any Airline Division members in the Minneapolis area to join the Sun Country pilots this Friday at the Minneapolis International Airport to show your unity and support for their fight, and help them send a strong message to management that enough is enough,” he concluded.
