I was NOT comparing my airline with UAL-it's not close.

What I was trying to point out, is that the hiring situation now is so far removed from when UAL last hired, it's a whole new ballgame. In 6 months, when NWA and UPS are also hiring, it's going to get a lot tougher for the recruiters than now, and in 12-24 months when EVERYONE is hiring, including FedEx, AA and USAir, it's going to be a nightmare beyond belief. It may be that UAL and everyone else will be recruiting in high schools again.

Our mins for DC-9 FOs are about 2000/1300 and one year of crew time (something structured with 2 or more in the crew). It doesn't matter if it's helo/fw/jet/recip/whatever.
