i was sitting in new hire ground school a couple days ago doing some computer based training. my phone made a little buzz to let me know i had an email. low and behold, i got the rejection letter too. i walked over to the hr department and asked what was up. chris said he sent them out to everyone apparently as some automatic way to purge the system of old applicants.
to me, it doesn't seem like a very professional way of doing business. i would have handled it differently if i were in that position. i guess the answer is to simply reapply. it is a shame they aren't handing out interviews at job fairs anymore. this is how i was hired. the lady that was in charge of hiring was named kim fuller. she was an absolute sweetheart of a person but she left the company a month or two ago. apparently the new guy just has a different way of doing things?
