Point taken. I am just saying for all those people that say if we don't get new hires, we won't be able to grow. I would say if you really want SkyWest, you will have to wait to see if those bonus come through. I really hope we push the company and either make them do it without our vote (and show us how they really feel about our "contract") or make them give something to the rest of the group.
How ****ed would you be if you took the job with SW, then after you get out of training or have been here for a couple months, they offer a signing bonus for 10K?? If you think they would offer it retroactively, I'll give you examples of how they didn't offer it for the 7.5K type rating or our current pay package. It won't happen.
It may be all my interactions with CS that have me looking for someone stealing my wallet while shaking my hand, but I don't trust anything I hear from SGU anymore. The retention bonus is just a carrot. Does anyone think they would want to offer a retention bonus and SAPA would stop them? Why is it even in the pay package other than to plant the seed?? And why all of a sudden is TG willing to hear about CS abuse? They want to work together now?? Sorry, you have made your bed with years of abuse and not caring about me. So unless you are offering double time, I won't be willing to "help you out" If I need extra flying, I pick up crew posted trips and help a fellow pilot out.

Grow??? Maybe you mean shrink the least. What regional is going to be able to grow in this environment with the parking of 50 seat lift and the lack of pilot canadates?
