Thanks Sulk. My terminology was off. I was saying that it was based on short call first then long and medium in seniority order. My apologies as buckets wasn't correct. The main point was that picking up time on reserve can be done but isn't a guarantee. It's an excellent system though especially coming from other systems where it isn't allowed. Oh no worries man - and I didn't mean to seem as to be yelling with CAPITALS
I used them just to avoid confusion. We're all learning as we go.
One other thing I learned is that a sick call, or RGS, or SIM does not put you in the back of the line either. Only a 'reserve assignment' counts toward FIFO. Regardless of where you see yourself on the reserve availability. Just an FYI - but somehow I think I was the only dummy that didn't know this
