Herkflyr's probably the majority here at Delta. This pilot group is a YES voting group by default, therefore only a pretend union can actually be had here. Sad.

Not true. I've flown with guys who said "well, I figure the union knows more than I do, so I'll just vote for whatever they bring." I got into serious disagreements with them over that.

I remember back in 2000 a buddy (retired military, didn't want to rock the boat, etc) saying "I sure hope we don't ever go on strike."

I replied "I don't want to, but we sure better be willing to, and I don't feel that you are."

And yes I was upset by the recent "be willing to say yes" missive from our MEC chair (where did that come from?)

Bottom line is that I acknowledge that there are knee jerk yes voters out there. But that doesn't mean that there aren't knee jerk no voters out there.

Just read any TA, evaluate, vote accordingly and give your fellow pilot the deference to do the same.
