Two years doesn't really buy into much of the pilot shortage situation though. 2018-2019 is where it starts ramping up.

Every time I see that "50 years of stability" banner I laugh. What a joke. AWAC was started in 1993 after Air Wisconsin furloughed hundreds for several years when UAL bought their routes. Some of the most senior guys on property were door to door salesmen in that time frame because they were out of a job. Apparently they didn't learn from that.
Yes I remember people talking about how UAL dealt with AWAC back in the day.
All this extension does is by each side time. Time for AAG to build up there WO's and time for AWAC to start looking for another partner. Win win for both sides.
