Make your voice heard. Call and email your reps. OFTEN. They need your support. Ask your reps who is in the MEC office? Are the same insiders that brought us C2012 working there?
Pay attention.
He's got some very good points in this post. In no way should the Neg. Committee or the MEC be discussing "what do we want to give up for that.." when it comes to advances in C2015.
Also - We should be telling the company to forget about the 2% pay growth idea - ALPA should show Richard, Wall Street and the BOD how useful we are to this company and say "Our pilots have given plenty - it's time to pay them back for their sacrifices."
Keep the pressure up on the reps - even a brief email saying, "I've heard this rumor about giving back on OE displacement, it sucks and I don't want it to be part of any contract" is a bug in their ear when the contract gets presented. If the rep gets enough of them, he'll either voice his displeasure or send a no-vote.
But if no one complains, then he might think it's ok, and figure it's a worthy trade-off.
