Anything that causes any unity, makes them scared, they rely on the divisive, "every man for himself" attitude in the pilot world. Nothing he listed as advancements were pluses for anyone but the company, the one, that might have implications were the pairing improvement pitch. The company needs efficiency far more than the pilots do. If we are at work more for less block, that sucks, that doesn't mean diddly squat to the company, right up until they need more block covered by fewer pilots. The reality has set in for them, they cannot keep up with attrition of pilots, even taking in to account retirement of airframes. They are sending guys to Paris for sim, the chokepoint is now sims and training lead time.
