It is a AWAC thread. Anything that happens at AWAC at AAG will have impact on WO's and vise versa.
I honestly believe Parker used Piedmont/PSA/ENVOY as a neg. tool against AWAC. He went in there with a low ball long term contract and said, "Piedmont will be doubling there fleet with ERJ's and taking over PHL and DCA if we don't get what we want. AWAC management probably laughed at the offer and Parker said okay then the extension it is. I honestly think if a long term deal would've been inked that PDT's road to getting ERJ's would've been different. Now I believe it's full steam ahead and you'll be seeing ERJ's flooding DCA and PHL in the next few years starting to take over many of AWAC routes.
It sucks and thank goodness I'll be gone before any of that happens. That's the bizz and you just never know.
