Thanks for the replies, I appreciate it! I was asking about the DC's, because my old DC was indestructible and great quality. However, I did not know they also require batteries then found out the Telex models do not require them. My trips tend to be multi-day, odd hour trips so I'd have to keep extra batteries around, if I don't lose them...
I am currently using Lightspeed Zulu 2's (not in a 737 but a E175 which is also loud) and I switched to the Energizer rechargeable batteries about a year and a half ago. I carry the charging pack along with me. Batteries usually last at least 2 weeks worth of flying. Best $20 I ever spent.
