I flew MYR for the first time the other day and commented to my Captain how great everyone there did their job, and if only other stations followed their example how we could really start to improve the public perception of our operations. Because it saves the company money. If there is a choice between perception or saving a dime, management is gonna save a dime. U.S. Business Philosophy 101, if you made $10 last quarter, you better make $20 this quarter or it's a failure. It's all about making more and more money, to the exclusion of everything else. If they could outsource everything, including pilots, flite attendants, mechanics, even the office workers down in HQ in Mirimar, they'd do it. That's why we need scope protection, what good is industry leading pay if you ain't got no job?
