There are a lot of hotels on Virginia Ave. You'll pay $65/night and up. Maybe you can get lucky and find something a little less expensive.
My advice to new hires is to suck it up and pay for a single occupancy hotel. It is the option with the fewest potential distractions since you don't have to worry about roommates, transportation, or a long commute. It's $2,000 in a $5 million career. The numbers work out favorably.
