The recovery that was done away with in 2011 was particularly onerous in that you went out on reserve first and the assigned trip was of course almost always much more painful than the one you had taken.
The fNWA contract allowed for "up to 5%" of credit time to be set aside and used for training purposes. Even though many of the fNWA managers are here now, let us not make that same mistake again. It was not a good thing. Very hard to administer and keep track of the percentages of time, what was being done with the time, etc. I don't blame the Company for asking but we shouldn't be blamed for saying NO to this provision.
