That means you will have to rise to 35-40% on the list before you can upgrade. Because 10-20% of the pilots below you have taken spots already.
Understand now?
The moderators don't kick people out for stating the realities of the industry. They do kick out people who revert to name calling and attacks like you have done.
You are making your cause worse.
Your overthinking it my man. There was a guy in my interview class in September that swore up and down that the upgrades were over and we were all just going to be backfill Fo's. He was convinced, he had "crunched the numbers" and I haven't sceen him since. I am 0 121 and I can tell you that I was convinced the second round of 900's (if received) would be 1 for 1 with 200's being parked. You are forgitting that the 700's aren't coming from a manufacturer and their deliverys can be throttled up or down month to month. No 0 121 guy can even calculate their upgrade time right now, it's just get 1k hours and assess the situation. The guys salaviting over an upgrade time projection are the ones with 6K+ hours, and I highly doubt they were chomping at the bit their first year at their fist airline like they are now. I am very glad PSA is upgradeing guys with serious time in type no matter the order. Your sole focus is to "educate" everyone on upgrage time, it kinda reminds me of a young lady a few years ago who was concerned she would upgrade without flying all 4 seasons, and was with a captain who probably ungraded in "senority order" but had 100+/- hours in type. I can tell your that their biggest problem was not upgrade projections. Every new hire at PSA with 0 121 for at least the next year and a half will have the oppturnity to upgrade when they're comfortable doing so. That concept is new to the regionals because for so many years it was "when can I hold it", so calculating that was all that was important with the undertone that it would be so far out of course they'd be ready.
