It's interesting you say this. I was on a canceled 767-400ER flight yesterday on DAL out of Germany. Many of the HVCs seated around me were discussing how DAL could have quickly sourced a part had the aircraft been an Airbus since we were in Europe.
At first I ignored the comments but then wondered how it might be advantageous for DAL to fly Airbuses to Europe where parts are readily available thus increasing DAL's reliability.
Note, my comments are not meant to flame DAL about the cancelation. You are my carrier of choice and I think DAL is the best American carrier; your people are making a huge difference. I was reading this thread since FDX's contract success is also dependent on your contract success and I hope you guys the best.
