My prediction is within the next year or two you will see a major softening of the 1500hr rule. You'll see it knocked down to something like 500 hours in leiu of 16 Sim sessions and minimum 100% hours of ioe. Or the legacy carriers will shut down the regionals, and transfer the flying to mainline. Like Delta began to do with the 717's.
