Any details are just rumor, but there may be a good reason why SKYW stock is at a 52 week high.
Since SkyWest does a lot of Delta flying, Delta would have some say. I would think that SkyWest wouldn't want limitation, or reduced fees, or loss of it's Delta routes.
If SkyWest lets XJT go under, Sky Inc. sells the assets, I'm sure some could be sold to SkyWest to help them with the new flying they gained from ASA no longer being around, and some of the flying they will gain from the loss of LXJT. All this under new contracts that will be profitable. Sky Inc. also immediately increase it's profits as XJT looses them money every time it launches a flight. Is there any reason for Sky Inc. to keep XJT around, if they go under it's a win/win for SkyWest.
