It was an interesting article in that it talks about cultural inertia. The culture at FedEx was the job needs to get done. Do what you have to do. That was the problem initially with the stabilized approach concept, we were going to get there and it was going to be on time. That's changed. I think we do a good job of that now. The interesting thing for me is that the company has beat it in to us now that we're not worthy of a contract, just an expense they must deal with. They've beat it into us now long enough that that is the culture. The intertia of the cultural change has come about. My attitude now is I do my job and collect a paycheck, period. Nothing else. Too bad but that's the culture and I've finally come to accept that with the help of the company.
