Give it another year. Then we can watch the 787 seniority balance itself. If you open your eyes, predicting what will happen isn't that difficult.
I say give it about 2 years and none if it really matters. Most of the super-senior bubba's on both L CAL and L UAL sides will be playing golf.
I do think that the scabs are a dying breed no matter which fleets they tend to dominate.
The base "re-balancing" may or may not be a wise move from management. I am skeptical that the airline actually has a coherent long term fleet plan in place.
