I spent a long time on the 757. There is a decent JS solution here.

Turn sideways, take the padded foam cushion for your back (which is only velcroed in) and lean it against the left armrest. It actually provides pretty good back support. Lean back, place legs on suitcase, Jepp airline kit, etc and relax as best you can.
