I think you may be a tad touchy. I always tell any jumpseater to speak up if unsure of anything including clearances. Most stay quiet but occasionally they might ask about a clearance. That is what I want them to do.

Unless he had an obnoxious attitude it seems like he was just trying to be a team player. But I wasn't there so perhaps not.
