My guess is after this initial wave of undefers passes, they'll only be trickling back. Most who wanted to come back have already come back (or are in the process of coming back). Next year I'd guess that half the new hires will be off the street.
In about 3-4 years, they'll really have to ramp up hiring to accommodate the attrition, unless the economy crashes again.
I know of several people that are waiting until the last minute to return because they have great QOL in their current job and have little to gain by returning now. I also know a couple people that have zero intention of returning.
