This is a business. It isn't the military, and they don't care if you're honorable or not. I prefer honesty personally when it comes to life, but knowing who you're dealing with and their perspective makes all the difference. We are a cost line on a spreadsheet to United airlines. I disagree. I WISH we were just a line on a spreadsheet. We are not. They consider us an adversary to be vanquished, and most of us view UAL the same way.
Hence our long term "home" at the bottom of every airline quality ranking and operational metric.
