Enough is enough. 6 threads in as many days. Get a life guys. Or don't, I don't care. I'm enjoying mine and not reading the forum much. I'm sitting here eating carrot cake because tomorrow is my birthday. I don't particularly like carrot cake, but ever since I was a kid, I've always asked for it because no one else likes it and that means more for me (fat kid strategy).

Anyway, I'm spending my free time signing up for classes to finish my AS and looking at investment real estate properties. My wife is about to start back to school and we are just finishing up a home remodel I started last year. I'm not telling you any of this to brag or to make myself sound like something I'm not, rather, I'm telling you this so that you see there is much more to life than flying an airplane. Flying an airplane isn't something I absolutely love to do (although it does have its moments). It's what I do to help provide me the things I like to do outside of work. Time with my family, hobbies, traveling.

I didn't come to PSA for the "quick upgrade" and to be honest, that could change tomorrow and I'd still be here. I came here for the CLT base, and I have stayed because of those I've met in my short time here. The camaraderie and teamwork that was exhibited by my class was something I've never really heard of or seen before in any 121 training program. I'd feel fortunate to experience that kind of thing somewhere else. No airline is perfect, make no mistake. But PSA is far from the worst. I have friends or aquatinces at most regional airlines out there. Most would recommend not coming to their airline, or they have an uncertain future. PSA's growth is about the most sure thing you will find in this industry. The truth of it is, everything could change tomorrow. Another 9/11 or the market tanking could change the game again. Which is why it is important to seize the moment that exists now at PSA. If your on the fence about a direct-entry CA position, don't wait long. If your thinking about coming on as a new-hire FO and you only have 1500 hours, this is a great place to be with continuous growth for the next 3 years. Don't listen to a lot of the naysayers. They don't know our contract and they have a very clear agenda for steering you away from this airline. I'm not naive, the company has its problems. But our problems pale in comparison to those faced by other regional airlines at the moment.

Some of you guys need to get off the daggum computer and go outside or something. Go for a walk, call your wife/kids, make use of your free time and start something productive in your life.
