I think they are in a rush because:
1. They are the only company in the world that has 80,000 employees standing to get a bonus that could equal 3 months pay.
2. The investment world looks at this over payment of the help the way we would view a gear up landing.
3. They can't walk this program back for the non union folks unless we go first.
We can use this situation as an opportunity to get back to our 2004 pay rates +. We are in a good spot. If we have a good trade, we can get a big bump. If they can't come to an agreement, we get a mongo bonus check. The "time value of saying no" might be pretty big.
