Q: What is the difference between a RES X day and a Golden Day. The way I read the PWA and the Scheduling Reference Handbook they can both be equally violated using the long-call ladder. The only advantage with a Golden Day is the fact that you're more likely to be be released on the last RES day prior to a Golden Day. Is this correct?

Also, if your X days are violated does that automatically trigger Green Slip pay if there are duty periods on an X day, even if the trip was assigned on a RES day?
